Begin with what God has given
We can approach a new day as though everything depends on proving ourselves. Paul points us in a different direction: salvation is God’s gift, received through faith. Our life with Him begins in grace, not in the effort to earn His welcome.
That grace does not leave us without purpose. In the same passage, Paul describes us as God’s workmanship, created in Christ for good works. We do not serve to become loved. We serve from the love we have received.
Take one faithful step
You may not know everything that lies ahead. You can still respond to what is in front of you: a person to encourage, a responsibility to finish, or a moment to stop and pray. Faithfulness often begins with something small.
Reflect
Where are you trying to earn what God invites you to receive? What is one practical act of love you can offer today?
Pray
Father, thank You for Your grace in Christ. Help me receive Your love with humility and respond with a willing heart. Show me the next faithful step, and teach me to walk in it. Amen.
